Tentang templat ini
This template gives you a journal app that looks and feels like something Apple would ship, and you don't need design skills or development experience to make it work.
The technical parts are already handled. Rich-text editing with TipTap, dated entries with autosave, inline images and video, streak tracking, and a month-by-month media calendar. All of it done. You can focus on building a daily writing habit instead of building software.
What's included: a marketing landing page, sign-up and sign-in screens with Google and Apple OAuth, a three-panel journal shell (sidebar, entry list, editor), multiple color-coded notebooks, a reflection prompt library, and a full Insights screen with streak counters, word-count stats, bar charts, and a media calendar. Seven seed entries across two journals give the demo real content from day one.
Most journaling tools are either too complex (Notion, Day One with dozens of features you'll never touch) or too simple (a notes app with no structure). This template sits in between: rich enough to track habits and attach photos, focused enough that opening it feels like opening a notebook.
Daily Writing Practice
Open the app, tap "New entry," and a reflection prompt appears: "What went well this week?" or "What are you looking forward to?" Dismiss it or use it as a starting point. The editor is dated to today, the title is optional, and autosave means you never lose a thought. Over weeks, the entry list grouped by month becomes a personal archive you can scroll through and search.
Gratitude and Reflection Journals
Create separate notebooks for gratitude, travel, or work reflections. Each journal gets its own color and icon, so switching contexts is visual, not cognitive. A morning gratitude practice lives in one notebook while end-of-day work reflections live in another. The "All Entries" view stitches them together when you want the full picture.
Habit Tracking Through Streaks
The Insights screen shows your current daily streak, your longest streak, and your weekly consistency. No goals to configure, no reminders to dismiss. The streak counter is descriptive: it tells you what you've done, and that's motivating enough. Bar charts break down entries by month so you can see seasons where you wrote more and ask yourself why.
Photo and Memory Journals
Attach images and video inline while you write. The media calendar in Insights maps those attachments to dates, so you can tap a day in March and see the photo from that hike. It turns the journal app into a visual diary without the overhead of a dedicated photo app.
Getting Started
1. Remix This Template
Click "Remix" to create your own copy. You get the full journal app: landing page, auth screens, three-panel editor, Insights dashboard, and seed data. Everything runs immediately. If this template isn't the right fit, you can remix a different one. No wasted work.
2. Customize Your Brand
Change the primary color in the style file to match your brand. The landing page, buttons, and accent highlights all update from a single variable. Swap the wordmark text from "Journal" to your product name. Update the hero headline and subline to speak to your specific audience: mindfulness practitioners, students, therapists recommending journaling to clients.
3. Add Your Content
Replace the seed entries and reflection prompts with your own. Write prompts that match your audience: CBT-style prompts for a therapy journal, startup retrospective prompts for a founder journal, travel prompts for a trip diary. Update the testimonials on the landing page with quotes from your beta users or target audience.
4. Connect Your Tools
The template uses Supabase for authentication, database, and file storage. Google and Apple sign-in work through Lovable's managed OAuth. If you want email notifications for streak milestones or weekly summaries, add an edge function that queries entry dates and sends via Resend or Postmark. The data model is simple enough to extend: add a "mood" column to entries, a "tags" table, or a "shared with therapist" flag.
5. Go Live
Publish with one click. Connect a custom domain if you want your journal app on your own URL. The landing page is ready for visitors, the auth flow handles signups, and the three-panel editor works on the first session. Share the link, post it in a community, or embed it in a course you're teaching.
Conclusion
This journal app template works for anyone who wants a private, focused writing space with habit visibility built in. You get rich-text editing without building an editor, streak tracking without configuring analytics, and a media calendar without wiring up file storage.
The landing page, auth, editor, and Insights screen are all production-ready. Remix the template, swap in your brand and prompts, and have a working journal app live in hours. Your first entry is waiting.
