How does the new tech stack compare to the previous one?
New apps are built on TanStack Start, which supports full server-side rendering (SSR). This means your pages are rendered as complete HTML before they reach the browser, so search engines and AI crawlers can read and index your content immediately. Apps built on the previous tech stack (React and Tailwind CSS) use pre-rendering instead, which generates static HTML snapshots of your pages for crawlers to access.
Can I migrate my existing project to be server-side rendered?
Not right now. Existing projects get pre-rendering automatically, which makes your content accessible to crawlers. Full SSR is currently only available for new projects built on TanStack Start.
What does it cost to chat with Semrush data?
Chatting with Semrush data uses your regular build credits, and comes at no extra cost through August 15, 2026. No Semrush account required, no separate billing.
How much does it cost to run an SEO review?
Running an SEO review is free on all plans. Applying the recommendations (fixing issues) uses regular build credits, the same as any other edit in the builder.
Which plans have access to these features?
All of them. SSR, pre-rendering, and the SEO review are free on every plan, including the free one. Semrush data in the chat is also available to all users and uses regular build credits.
Do I need a Semrush account?
No. Every Lovable user gets access to Semrush search data directly in the builder chat through their build credits. If you want deeper access - additional API endpoints or building your own SEO dashboard inside your app - you can connect your own Semrush account through API as you would with any other API connection.
What is AI search visibility?
AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity are becoming a major way people discover products and services. Lovable can now optimize your app's content structure, e.g. semantic HTML, structured data, and structured markdown output so these tools can read, understand, and recommend your app in their answers.
Does this work for existing apps, or only new ones?
Both, but differently. New apps get full SSR. Existing apps get pre-rendering. Both make your content accessible to search engines and AI crawlers. The SEO review and Semrush chat work for all apps regardless of tech stack.
