That's why we're excited to announce that Lovable has acquired Sutro. For five years, the Sutro team built a language, compiler, and backend platform that made application behavior and rules explicit—engineering built for security and reliability. That reflects a conviction we share: people should be able to trust the software they build to run their businesses, while the platform carries more of the underlying complexity.
Sutro founder Tomas Halgas and three Sutro engineers—Max Gfeller, Tony Zhan, and Hirad Arshadi—are bringing that technical expertise as they join Lovable. Tomas will lead Lovable's technical evangelism, continuing the same work that drove Sutro: making how the technology actually works understandable to the people building with it.
