Welcome to Lovable! We're excited to help you build amazing sites. Dream it, build it, ship it and help us keep Lovable safe by following our Platform Rules.

Why are these rules important? They are designed to protect our space while letting creativity of builders flow. If we determine that a project includes content that is not allowed, we may remove or block it. We make the final call on how the Platform Rules are interpreted, and we continuously improve them as Lovable evolves!


1. Violent and Criminal Behaviors

What's NOT allowed:

  • Threats of violence or incitement to violence.
  • Encouragement or celebration of violence in any shape or form.
  • Promotion or support of organizations known for violent activities.
  • Promotion or encouragement of criminal activity.
  • Instructions for committing crimes or harming others.
  • Praise of violent or criminal acts.
  • Promotion of cruelty or violence towards animals.

What's allowed:

  • Documentary or educational content.
  • Fictional and artistic representations that do not promote violence or criminality.
  • Criticism and raising awareness content.

2. Child Harm and Abuse

What's NOT allowed:

  • Content involving, mentioning, or promoting child harm, abuse, or exploitation.
  • Promotion of child endangerment.
  • Explicit or graphic depictions of child harm, abuse, or exploitation.
  • Content involving children in sexual context or activity.
  • Nude imagery or sexualized imagery of children.
  • Promotion or facilitation of harmful interactions with children.
  • AI-generated, fictional, or digital imagery involving child harm, abuse, or exploitation.

What's allowed:

  • Documentary or educational content that informs about child safety and protection without explicit, graphic images, or detailed descriptions of child harm, exploitation, or abuse.
  • Criticism and raising awareness content about child safety and protection without explicit, graphic images, or detailed descriptions of child harm, exploitation, or abuse.

3. Harassment, Bullying and Abusive Behavior

What's NOT allowed:

  • Promotion of abusive behavior.
  • Engagement in targeted harassment of individuals or groups.
  • Intimidation or severely hostile behavior targeting individuals or groups.
  • Encouragement or promotion of abuse, coercion, intimidation, or physical attacks towards targeted individuals or groups.

What's allowed:

  • Documentary or educational content.
  • Fictional and artistic representations that do not promote harassment, bullying, or abuse.
  • Criticism and raising awareness content.

4. Discrimination and Hate

What's NOT allowed:

  • Content that attacks or demeans an individual or a group based on protected attributes such as race, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, gender, religion, age, disability, or health status.
  • Hate speech, hateful behavior, exclusion, segregation, or discrimination against individuals or groups based on protected attributes.

What's allowed:

  • Documentary or educational content.
  • Fictional and artistic representations that do not promote discrimination and hate.
  • Criticism and raising awareness content.

5. Self-Harm, Suicide and Eating Disorders

What's NOT allowed:

  • Self-Harm and Suicide
    • Graphic depiction of suicide or self-harm behaviors.
    • Distribution, promotion, encouragement, or glorification of suicide or self-harm.
    • Step-by-step instructions of suicide or self-harm behaviors.
  • Eating Disorders
    • Content that promotes or encourages eating disorders or harmful dieting practices.
    • Instructions for eating disorder behaviors.

What's allowed:

  • Documentary or educational content about mental health focused on recovery and prevention without graphic depiction of suicide or self-harm behaviors.
  • Fictional and artistic representations that do not promote suicide, self-harm behaviors, or eating disorders.
  • Criticism and raising awareness content about suicide, self-harm, or eating disorders.

6. Adult and Sexual Content

What's NOT allowed:

  • Explicit sexual acts, sexual arousal, or sexual stimulation.
  • Explicit or sexualized nudity of intimate body parts.
  • Pornography and pay-for-view adult content.
  • Creation, promotion or instructions to use AI or editing techniques to generate or simulate nudity in an image.
  • AI-generated or digitally altered content making someone nude or sexualized.
  • Content promoting or facilitating sex trafficking.
  • Solicitation or promotion of sexual or escort services.

What's allowed:

  • Documentary or educational content without depictions of explicit nudity or sexual acts.
  • Fictional and artistic representations that follow all other rules and without explicit depictions of sexual acts.
  • Adult products (such as sex toys, adult literature, adult art) as long as they follow all other rules.
  • AI-companion sites as long as they follow all other rules.

7. Deceptive Media

What's NOT allowed:

  • Deepfakes
    • AI-generated or manipulated content that falsely portrays real people in a deceptive or misleading way.
    • Fabricated or edited media intended to manipulate others for personal, political, or financial purposes.
    • Fake political endorsement.
    • Step-by-step instructions on creating deceptive or misleading deepfakes.
  • Misinformation
    • False or misleading information related to public safety, security emergencies, or natural disasters.
    • Fake or manipulated news.
    • Dangerous medical claims associated with fake treatments for chronic life-threatening diseases.

What's allowed:

  • Documentary or educational content.
  • Fictional and artistic representations that follow all other rules as long as they are clearly labeled or disclosed as AI-generated or edited content.
  • Criticism and raising awareness content.

8. Illegal or Restricted Goods and Services

What's NOT allowed:

  • Drugs and controlled substances
    • Trade, promotion, advertisement, or instructions for obtaining controlled drugs or substances.
  • Regulated goods and services
    • Sell or promote regulated services without required licenses or approvals, including gambling, financial services, weapons-related services, or controlled substances.
    • Instructions on how to get unlicensed weapons, counterfeit goods, stolen property, or unlicensed gambling or financial services.
    • Falsely offering financial services, such as fake crypto-wallets, payments, or banking.
  • Human Exploitation
    • Content that facilitates, instructs, promotes, or advertises services for human exploitation.

What's allowed:

  • Documentary or educational content that does not instruct how to get or produce illegal goods or services.
  • Fictional and artistic representations that do not promote illegal goods, illegal services, or human exploitation. They must be labeled or disclosed as fictional or artistic representations and follow all other rules.
  • Criticism and raising awareness content.

9. Private Information

What's NOT allowed:

  • Requests to find, reveal, sell, or share personal information of individuals without their consent.
  • Publish, distribute or share someone else's private information (like home address, phone number, identity documents) without their consent.
  • Publish, distribute or share someone else's passwords or credentials to accounts without their consent.

What's allowed:

  • Public records and legally obtained information.
  • Information shared with explicit consent.

10. Non-Consensual Intimate Imagery

What's NOT allowed:

  • Create, post, share, or distribute sexually explicit or intimate imagery of someone else without consent.
  • Threats to share someone else's intimate or private imagery.

What's allowed:

  • Documentary or educational content focused on victims support and online safety without sexually explicit imagery.
  • Fictional and artistic representations without sexually explicit imagery that do not promote the creation or distribution of non-consensual intimate imagery. They must be clearly labeled or disclosed as fictional or artistic representations and follow all other rules.
  • Criticism and raising awareness content without sexually explicit imagery.

11. Security

What's NOT allowed:

  • Malicious hacking
    • Distribution, sharing, or promotion of stolen login details, passwords, or other sensitive data.
    • Malicious hacking or attempts to hack any system, account or website to cause infrastructure, reputational or financial harm.
    • Sharing or requesting instructions for breaking into systems to cause infrastructure, reputational, or financial harm.
    • Trying to bypass security measures or platform safeguards.
  • Malware
    • Create, share, or distribute malicious software, code, links, or any kind of malware.
    • Step-by-step instructions for conducting malicious hacking or creating malicious software.

What's allowed:

  • Documentary or educational content about cybersecurity.
  • Fictional and artistic representations that do not promote malicious hacking or malware distribution.
  • Criticism and raising awareness content about cybersecurity.

12. Deceptive Behaviors

What's NOT allowed:

  • Identity Impersonation
    • Accounts or content that falsely pretend to be an individual or an organization for the purpose of committing fraud, phishing, harassment, hate speech, or spreading misinformation.
    • Pretending to be someone else (an individual, a brand or an organization) in a way that could confuse others.
  • Phishing
    • Fraudulent activity such as fake giveaways, phishing attempts, fake investment offers, or fraudulent schemes.
    • Creation or promotion of sites that attempt to steal money, credentials or sensitive information.
    • Phishing and social engineering techniques including fake login pages, impersonation, and deceptive messages that mislead others to collect sensitive information.
    • Step-by-step instructions for committing fraud, scams, phishing, or impersonation.
    • Fake coupon campaigns or misleading services with false promises of payouts.

What's allowed:

  • Documentary or educational content.
  • Fictional and artistic representations that follow all other rules as long as they are clearly labeled or disclosed as fictional or artistic representations.
  • Criticism and raising awareness content about impersonation.

13. Dangerous Acts

What's NOT allowed:

  • Content that encourages, promotes, or instructs dangerous or high-risk behavior that could lead to severe injury or death.

What's allowed:

  • Documentary or educational content such as safety warning or prevention.
  • Fictional and artistic representations that follow all other rules as long as they are clearly labeled or disclosed as fictional or artistic representations.
  • Criticism and raising awareness content.

What's NOT allowed:

  • Content that infringes on someone else's copyright or trademark. Publishing or sharing one-to-one copies of existing commercial or known sites and digital services that use existing names and logos of known businesses. Such sites will be treated as malicious, pretending to be something else, and removed from the platform.

To ensure proper support, please do the following:
