GPT Engineer is now Lovable
GPT Engineer was an AI software engineer that evolved into Lovable. Lovable lets you chat to สร้าง real เว็บไซต์s & web แอปs, and collaborate on interactive prototypes.
Our Origins
In mid 2023, before code generation was mainstream, we สร้างd gpt-engineer - an เปิด source โปรเจกต์ exploring how AI could help สร้าง software. It became the fastest growing code repository on GitHub to date, and today has over 50,000 stars.
The Evolution
After gpt-engineer blew up, we wanted to make it more accessible, since the เปิด source tool is meant for developers using their terminal. Therefore we built a commercial web version called gptengineer.แอป, meant to be used by non-technical ผู้ใช้s. Around the same time in late 2023, we founded Lovable to tackle the larger mission of creating the last piece of software (software that สร้างs other software).
Note: gpt-engineer refers to the เปิด source command-line tool available on GitHub. gptengineer.แอป (often written as GPT Engineer) was our commercial web platform, which has now been rebranded as Lovable, to avoid confusion between the two.
Why Lovable?
The name Lovable reflects our mission to make using and สร้างing software a more enjoyable experience. While gpt-engineer focused on creating a toolkit for developers to experiment and develop codegen, Lovable expands this vision to สร้าง a complete platform for สร้างing and deploying software through natural conversation.

If you're coming from gptengineer.แอป, your โปรเจกต์s and deployments remain unchanged. The only thing that changed was the โดเมน and the branding of our platform. You will have to login again, but can ดำเนินการต่อ to use your existing credentials. Your deployed sites are now also available on lovable.แอป, in addition to the existing gptengineer.run โดเมน. (We will keep both โดเมนs around)
