How are credits calculated / credits per prompt
Credits are consumed when you send prompts to Lovable's AI Agent in Agent mode. Simple changes use fewer credits than complex ones, and Plan mode (the planning/reasoning mode) costs just 1 credit per message since it doesn't modify code. You also get 5 bonus daily credits that refresh each day, regardless of your plan.
How many credits does Lovable give per day (paid plans)
All users, including those on paid plans, receive 5 bonus credits per day that refresh daily. Beyond that, your monthly credits depend on your plan: Free gives 5 daily (capped at 30/month), Pro gives 100/month, and Business gives 100/month with higher rollover limits.
What is a credit?
Credits fuel Agent mode requests—complex changes use more credits than simple ones. Plan mode costs 1 credit per message and never modifies code. The 'Try to fix' button is free and doesn't consume credits. Every user gets 5 bonus daily credits, refreshed daily.
Do I get daily credits or monthly credits?
Your plan's credit structure depends on your tier. Check your plan details in Settings > Billing for specifics on your credit allowance and how it's distributed.
How do I check my remaining credits?
Click the profile icon in the top right of your dashboard, or check the dropdown on the project name in the editor. Both show your current credit balance and renewal date.
How do Lovable credits work?
Credits are used when you send messages to the AI agent to generate or modify your app. Each prompt costs a certain number of credits based on complexity. Your plan includes a monthly credit allowance that resets on your renewal date.
What actions cost credits?
Sending prompts to the AI agent costs credits. The 'Try to fix' feature for error resolution is free and doesn't use credits. Viewing your app, browsing the dashboard, and publishing don't cost credits.
When do my credits reset?
Credits reset monthly on your subscription renewal date—the same day you started your plan. Check Settings > Billing to see your exact reset date.
Why do some prompts cost more credits than others?
Credit cost depends on the complexity of your request. Simple text changes cost less than generating entire new features or multi-component layouts. Breaking complex requests into smaller steps can help manage credit usage.
